Property developer, Sekisui House engaged Map Creative to produce the marketing collateral and a conceptual art installation for their residential development, Ecco Ripley. Given that Ecco Ripley was founded on Sekisui’s principles of environmental sustainability and ecological harmony, it was only right that the artwork reflect the environment in which the development is situated.
Focusing on the innate natural elements that make Ecco Ripley so special, we looked to the surrounding landscape, flora and fauna for inspiration. From the veins found on gum leaves, to the textures of paperbark, to organically shaped branches, we produced an authentic creative and applied it process across brochures, website, maps, sales boards and an art trail.

Art Trail and Signage
In partnership with our amigos at ColourChiefs we developed a unique process which allowed us to print white ink on rusted corten steel.
Having aged the steel sheets over a period of weeks to achieve a rich, rusty red texture, we overlaid our contrasting, elegant designs. The panels were then fixed to structures made from local hardwood and river rocks.
The result: a striking and contemporary series of public art pieces, reflective of Sekisui’s philosophical design principles, which created an engaging and inspiring journey for walkers to enjoy as they wandered through the development.
