Bush Heritage Australia engaged our team to produce a suite of rustic way-finding signage that would compliment the rugged landscape of the arid Pullen Pullen Reserve in Western Queensland. We worked with ColourChiefs to develop a unique signage solution which was harmonious with the natural surrounds.

First, we rusted sheets of Corten steel over a period of weeks using a salt wash solution to enhance the rust process, before applying a lacquer and then printing our illustrations of Brolga, Night Parrot and Kowari in white ink for a stunning contrast. The result was a striking, tactile and unique solution that truly compliment its environment.
